Impreza Model numbers??

Quick question lads.
I know that all Impreza's have model numbers associated with them (meaning the actual car itself not the turbo model) and since the SIDC Faq only covers up to 2000, can someone tell me what the models are called from that year on?
So for example my MY00 is a version 6 (me thinks)
so what would an STI8 be? year 2003?
know it sounds dumb but once i tell you why it will become clear![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I need to source a spare part from the local dealer , but to track the part, he needs to know my chassis number. fine, but the part that he is trying to locate is not matched up with a classic part but rather a new age part. In this case some newer Sti8 seats.
So you see my problem, either I give him the correct model number or I give him a chassis number of a newer impreza. But which model, is an Sti8 an 04, a 53 or older..help![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Confused??? I am

i will make it simpler.
can someone who has an sti8 (i have the seats for that version in my classic) PM with your chassic number as i need to give that to the local dealer to track down these parts.
tall order, but that is why i guess using PM is better.
thx in advance

mine is MY00 and is classed a version 6, so 2001 bugeye must be 7 and maybe 8 with blob eye 9 onwards.
me thinks google is the next stop
(only thing is his seats look different from the ones i have, but then they are sti8 and not wrx seats.)

sounds dodgy i know, but its legit. to order these silly platic trim bits for the rear of the seats on the bottom rails, i need a chassis number from an sti8.
if you feel brave enough to do it, then please pm me.
Promise i will delete the pm after i order these parts.
and if anyone is wondering why. the plastic bits need to cover the sharp unsightly edges from my 2 little uns.
anyone???
