It could well invalidate your warranty. Whatever you do DO NOT tell your local dealer what you've done. They would be well within their rights to have your car confiscated for such abuse.

As previoiusly advised, it won't do any harm whatsoever. You may notice the car is a little bit sluggish and less responsive though?

My 51 plate WRX gave a slight splutter at about 2750 rpm's after I put normal unleaded in a couple of months after I bought it. The previous owner always ran it on SUL and so did I until 1 day, like you, I could only put in UL.

It only did it for a few miles and was then fine again. Never done it since, never put in UL since. Maybe coincidence.

We've always used 95 ron UL and its never been a problem. The reason for the splutter would be that the ECU isnt used to the lower octane. After using 100ron at the 'ring you could tell the difference when changing back to 97/95 ron.

Might be wise to massage banana oil into the bonnet and recite the lords prayer backwards on Halloween, just to be on the safe side.
