Default EVO Review of 06 WRX and STi

As heading really, couple of pages only. Bit unsure of their knowledge in this case though. They say the WRX now has the forester interior etc., whereas it looks just like the 05 WRX to me.

They say it now has a rear LSD, which I thought the 05 did.

Then they go on about how the 'electronics' sort out the handling (sorry, not got the copy with me to quote) - as far as I know there's no electronic diff in the thing at all.

Anyway, main thing is they seem to like it!

The exhaust manifolds haven't changed either, all that's different in the exhaust is the adoption of the 05MY JDM style centre pipe.

All turbo Impreza models have had a rear LSD since day 1 in 1994. Maybe they've misread the Press Release as the exhaust and drivetrain is different for the 2.0 N/A models compared to 05MY.

Mike the press release might of confused them as it say:
"Other improvements include a 4-2-1 equal length, 'constant-pulsation' exhaust system"

Edit for spelling lol

One of the articles also talks of the torque bias changing from 35/65 to something like 51/49 (mags in the car and its chilly) . Surely the 35/65 would only have been via DCCD with the diff fully open. It struck me that the articles were peppered with errors.

My dealer mentioned that a MY05 WRX has some kind of active yaw control device (though not as "active" as a Mitsubishi's). Is this correct? If so, perhaps this is what EVO had in mind.

I remember Mitsubishi describing their enhanced 'anti-skid braking system'; it was a pressure reducing valve fitted to the rear breaking circuits!
