ok, completely different cars. but if at similar price and looking for something different would you swap your scooby for a tt (if you could live with the smaller sides of things), in particular the 225 version which can be remapped to circa of 260-270bhp which is similar to the standard scoobies?

I used to have an S3 which is very similar to TT and it was a good car but i much prefer my Scooby. Audi has better build and luxury but dont confuse good build quality with good reliability i had a few niggles with mine and mate had several probs with his TT. Nothing serious but annoying none the less.
As far as driving them goes they are nowhere near as good as the scooby. IMO.

Driven both the 180 and the 225.
The 180 was around Oulton Park on a birthday present thing, and was actually quite enjoyable, probably because it was on the track.
The 225 I drove on the road, and does feel very different to the Scoob. The power delivery was far less brutal than the Scoob.
TBH mate, you really can`t compare them, as they`re like chalk and cheese IMHO, as the Scoob is bigger, looks completely different, and is aimed at another market altogether.
Depends what you like really, but it`s not for me...........
Oh, and I believe servicing is very expensive, and the electrics on them aren`t great. Only things I`ve heard though, so it may/may not be correct.

Looks like a tit and driven by then. Wouldn't have any audi until they learn about steering feedback. While some of their cars are quick and do handle they are all boring will no feel.

Short answer - no...
Long answer...used to have a 3.2 DSG TT Roadster in our mini fast fleet, quick rather than fast, no feel or feedback from the driving experience. Dealers were good and no reliability or other problems, servicing no worse than the Scoob. The DSG gearbox is awesome but its not a drivers toy, great when you cant be bothered though and in sport mode with roof down the 3.2 made a lovely growl. Very safe and secure, great in snow. MPG is good at 28+, tyre wear seemed heavy. When I had one depreciation was almost non-existent, not the same now though from what I hear. Lots of gay/hairdesser comments too though as you might expect , yawn...and the ladies did seem to love it too - except the silly extra plastic bit on the rear spolier!
Only one problem with the TT.....there is a thing called a Boxster which is smiles better and don't quote power figures cos they have nothing to do with it. Drive a TT and Boxster back to back and you won't believe the difference, I did and it cost me a few extra ££ so beware!!

LEGACY ESTATE DOG GUARD & KIDS
If you have to ask the Q, TT = Time 4 Tea then get a Legacy.
A driving car or a car that almost drives its self (TT).
Clinically built and they bombed me mums chippy.
If you cut hair then get a Legacy at least you can say you own a Subaru.
If you like freefall, downhill skiing, paragliding (getting the drift) then get a scooby.

Had a 3.2 DSG for 7 months before I bought a 2003 STI PPP. The Audi had the best build quality of any car I've owned but I never got up in the morning and felt like I wanted to go for a blast. The Subaru is so much more fun to drive. Looks arn't everything!

Had a Audi TT 225 after I sold my classic, and regreted it big time, had it for 2 months and sold it for a newage scoob.
Only problem is that you will always compare it to your scoob, which it cant match, and you think that by mapping it, it will get 270-280bhp but the car weighs so much and handles terrible that all that power means nothing.
Also got beat by my mate in his Pug 106 GTi, he lost me on the twisty's and on the straights there was nothing in it, and I had 100bhp more then the little pug.
