Locking Wheel Nuts
Hi
Pick up my new WRX tomorrow it's from motorhouse, so has no locking wheel nuts. Obviously want to get this sorted asap, can anyone tell me the best place to get them, don't want to get my wheels nicked first day!

I'm new to this site and only got my scooby three weeks ago. Bought it from Motorpoint, so it didn't come with locking wheel nuts.
I bought some Mcguard locking nuts from Halfords for £32. Have read some good reviews and they seem ok.

Waste of money. When i bought my car the master nut was missing so a tyre fitter removed the locking nuts in seconds with a big hammer and a socket.
He said they are a waste of money as the tea leafs who want your wheels go armed with the same kit.

do not not get mcguard locking wheel nuts i had to get 2 drilled off my wheel it was hte ones that go around the studs and you can see the studs stay away! i have 3 friends who have mcguard wheel nut and all had the keys broke off, the nuts get proper jammed due to heat from the brakes or the keys brake

Bump.
Can anyone suggest an alternative to mcguard ones if they're no good??
Is it a good idea just to buy cheapo ones if 'proper' thieves can get round them anyway (so they're just a deterrent to casual thieves)?

I wouldn't have thought you get many casual thieves looking for the hasstle of removing a set of wheels.
More likely stolen with a buyer or own car in mind, the locking nuts being a very very slight problem to overcome no matter how good they are.
