Just bought my first Subaru - B4RSK - It's just started smelling of petrol- seems to be coming from under alternator - does anyone know a friendly specialist in South London near Crystal palace. Apart from this it's a much better car than I've had before (M3, Civic type r, Toyota GT4)- please help ?

 

There is nothing thats in london that is scooby related, there are plenty of other garages tho, just call 118118. However, www.brdevelopments.com and www.xtremescoobies.co.uk are superb garages that know alot about subarus and arent very far from london either.
And dont drive the car in that state mate, better pay someone to take you car there (dont tow as its a 4wd), you wouldnt want the car to burst into flames
Its probably a badly connected fuel pipe somewhere thats dripping petrol.

I agree the car is superb, but you better get that leggy ecutekked to get rid of that nasty flat spot when turbo's change (its called VOD), it really transforms the car..

Hi ,just to say welcome to another descerning Subaru B4 owner.Was beginning to think I was on 'Imprezanet'
(just kidding.....all you sensitive types,this is a great site)

I have had a 2000 B4RSK manual saloon for about 18 months now & agree it is the best car I have owned.
Also I live just outside Croydon in Caterham and have used
Gatwick Motors in Crawley for any major work or servicing.
They are most helpful & as an independant garage don't have any problems dealing with 'imports'

I guess if you have a petrol leak any good garage should be able to sort it.
