SORRY YET MORE ADVICE NEEDED
god i am statin to think im taking the p**s by asking for more help..
but this has now happend twice recently
right just went to car after not starting it for 2days due to illness [me not car i think.lol]
its been on the drive way not in garage. and it seemed to turn over for ages before firing and once it did fire i could have swore the initial bit of smoke u always get was a very very light shade of blue. their was a smell of fuel to.
so again guys is this a scooby thing??
the cars a august 2003 sti type uk ppp with 20k and always run on optimax

Unburnt fuel in the exhaust. That's all it is. A cold engine can and will run rich to point that unburnt fuel passes into the exhaust to create white(ish) smoke (not to be confused with steam)
