Although i wanna keep the scoop at std as poss, i'm really unsure about the v.2 headlights, i found this pics and wondered where similar lights could be purchased

 

They look like crystal headlights which can be bought from e-bay, scoobybits, etc. I think they work out about £200 a pair. I you change to facelift headlights then you will have to change the bonnet and grill as well for post 1997 ones.
