I checked the oil level the other day in my MY05 WRX and I could do with topping the level up. It had it's 1k service at Prosport in May but I'm not sure what oil they used. Can anyone enlighten me to the oil they use or if it would be a problem to use some different type and if so which?

Ring them and ask ..... FWIW my dealer; Cheam Motors used Magnatec in mine (also a MY05 WRX) - semi synthetic - so I will use that to top up until next service.

 

I topped mine up with magnatec's the other day, so glad to here cheam motors use the same as they do all my oil changes

 

I've spoken to Prosport and they reccommend a 10w30 semi. Do anyone else use this? Anyone reccommend any particular manufacturer?
