Default Electric Windows struggling a bit...

The car is a JDM MY98 WRX and the windows are taking a while to return to the top, anyone any ideas why this may be?

Any help much appreciated.

Mine did this about this time last year, the motor had become loose and was struggling to raise the window. Eventually it came off completely and the window stopped almost closed. I took it to a garage who fixed the motor back, but suggested longer term I would need a replacement one.

Had a similar problem on my last car and the dealer just lubricated the seals and it worked fine after. Try some silicone spray on the rubber seals it might work as it did on mine but if not its only cost u a couple of quid.

Mine does the same, very slow operation of the windows all the time.

Where can you get sillicone spray?

some **** has put a screwdriver to mine to try and force it down, chipped the window and by the sounds of it damaged the motor. Will get it sorted when I get the next service at main dealer.

Pain in the *** these frame less windows, but I guess the robbing ***** would have bent my doors back otherwise

Cheers guys much appreciated.

Just as a side note, the window(s) have always been the same since I had the car (about a year now) and they all struggle a little.

Don't know if that can shed any more light onto the problem.

They all seem to do it mate, my previous Impreza was exactly the same as this one.

Thanks Sgcooby, I'll give that a go.
