Oh, and the Civic has rear door handles hidden away in the rear window plastic. SORRY, Alfa 156 anyone?
BTW, TG did the new Clio yesterday, and frankly I'm much more interested in whether its quicker to the seafront than a demented BMX biker, than I am in the Civics badge retracting 2cm upon collision!

VBH can take me for a ride any time
I like both programs although Top Gear must have a huge budget with all the cars they break. When clarkson parked his Maserti in a hedge I laughed for ages... And when he closed the show with not the kinda hedge he had in mind, what fun.
I prefer watching super cars than family hatchbacks as you could go to a local dealer and see them, where I would be very lucky to see the Zonda or Veyron (next week) giving it some.
Just my opinon mind..

I absolutley agree...
TG is the far better show. 5th gear is good, VBH is great but not a touch on TG.
You can look at family cars and small hatches all day long, but hardly ever get to see a supercar in action.

TG is clearly good entertainment - just not wholely sold on the content.
Chris- its ******* nicking your plate(s) stuffing them on their own ride and breaking all the rules - leaving you (potentially) with a fair bit of grief.
Sorry ..! given the choice, ill be touching vbh over clarkson...

Anyone want to see the outake of VBH in the Volvo???....that rear tailpipe hanging off on some of the shots they used shows she is not admitting to a whoopsy
Glad to know it wasn't just me who caught Tiff saying straight 6 instead of flat, I thought I was hearing things LOL.
And since when did you crash into stationary cars with the handbrake off and in neutral?? But I suppose the point of test was to confirm that airbag would deploy and not to test its abilities. Just I hate when they exaggerate speeds and lessen impacts like that - makes the public think they are invincible.
One thing for the TG critics. If I want to look at how good a normal humdrum car is, I'll go down the dealers and test drive it and decide for myself. Not so easy to do with supercars, not that I'd get a sniff at one, yet alone a test drive.

I think I'm missing the point here!, Someone said where can you see supercars other than here, the ones they had could hardly reach 50mph thats hardly a supercar in my mind?
Now Dame Ellen doing the fastest lap and wanting more is a diffferent story?

Ellen was excellent shows the kind of woman she is. Two 1.47 laps and then a 1.46 including on the grass, plus she thought she could get more.

TG next week with Veyron racing across europe!! No way 5th gear will top that. 5th gear lost all credability when they totally copied the TG format oh yea and also when Plato wore that suave hat of his. **** of the highest order. TBH VBH is a bit of a munter but she can drive a bit so will let her off. The only decent presenter on 5th gear is the fat guy who drove the civic. Nice car to. All in all ill watch any program about cars as it beats friggin emerdale or im a celebrity. But not X factor though ' what time is it '.

Let her off what? I bet she's better looking than your gf to Agree about Plato though, but I think he wore the hat as a dare or something equally stupid.

I think VBH is quite pretty, ok she's not stunning, but she isn't a dog either.
