Hi, I'm new to this forum having recently bought my first Scooby - a late 2002 WRX, and cracking it is too! Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good dealer for servicing around the Oxford area. I'm obliged to go for main dealer servicing at the moment as it's got manufacturers warrenty remaining, and I know all about appalling dealers, having had several Alfas up till now!

I bought the car from Simpsons of Highworth (near Swindon), but that's over an hour's drive for me. Otherwise, Adams of Aylesbury or Cotswold Subaru near Witney are both about 30 mins away. Anybody got any experience of any of these (good or bad)? I'm anxious to find a good dealer now as I can see myself having Subarus for several years to come...

Myself and a lot of scooby owners use API Engines. www.apiengines.co.uk

 

I can second that API are nothing short of brilliant when it comes to working on Subaru Imprezas. They are cheap too.

Oh I forgot to say that they are located just off J12 of the M40

Thanks for all your responses. I'll definately consider API, although it will have to wait until my warranty runs out. I bought the car on the Subaru approved used scheme with 12 months manufacturers warranty, which it seems they'll only honour if it is serviced at a main dealer.

So I guess it's between Cotswold, Simpsons and Adams for the first year anyway!

I know a couple of the lads in the workshop down at Adams and have had really good service from them in the past. Also a mate bought his Sti brand new from there and another mate bought his WR1 from there and both had good things to say about them.

They are a family business i think this keeps customer service more reasonable than big franchises.
