Been out of a scooby for two years and fancy another. Please put me off by stories of poor fuel consumption, crap residuals and chav-dom.

Failing that, is it 05 or an 06? Like the HID's on an 06 but prefer the look of the 05 especially as there must be some deals about? What colour? decision decisions, or do I stick with the luxury of the beemer with 40mpg and free servicing.

 

Like you Matt I now drive a 330D. I had a test drive in both the WRX and STI MY06 models the other week. Although they where fast, I couldn't see me going back to one after driving the beemer.
The interiour quality on the Subaru's is a joke in comparison to the BMW as is the ride.

The only car that could possible better the 330d for the overall driving package is the M3, so I have just bought a M3 CS. Expensive but hopefully will forefill all of my driving needs.

Will miss the economy of the deisel though.

 

Get a JDM '05, you get the look of the '05 model with HIDs as well

 

Know what you are saying compshack, but although a lovely car, need 4 doors.

Is this to replace the 330 or the Golf? I'd think long and hard mate before taking the plunge, though having been to Lichfields recently I can say the MY06 Spec-C / RA is rather tasty.

Had a look at the 06 today, very nice in the flesh, however £27k against a PPP MY05 at £24k is a big difference.
