Going to test drive an 06 wrx tomorrow the sales guy reacons they are far superior to the blob eye ( he would though)
What do you guys think .
Seen an 06 2.5 wrx on web site last night for £15,995 its not worth buying second hand for that price.
Opinions please

Haven't driven new model yet but from all articles I have read its a softened up less raw car than the My05. The front end restyle put me off to start with. I was gonna buy one but just about everything I read put me off. And I reckon the dealers are having a job shifting them as well. I think Subaru have made a big mistake with this model worse than the bugeye scenario. I went for a 2 year old STI8 PPP instead and glad I did after seeing new model in flesh. But each to their own.

I drove the MY06 WRX the other week, very impressed with it. It only had 500miles on the clock but it felt really good. Like a non turbo car with very little lag. IMOHO the best WRX yet, and with a Prodrive pack on will be a force to be reckoned with. Interiour similar to the other 06 models and I would say not much slower than the MY06 STi.
But try it for your self and report back

I was impressed with the WRX. However, the STi is superior in the handling and engine performance department and was extremely noticable on the track.
The WRX is more refined and is a pleasure to drive on run-of-the-mill journeys.

I really like the look of the MY06... only thing I dont like is the rear lights, check out Members Gallery for some pics of NASOC '06 Imprezas.
With the 2.5 engine, its surely going to be an awful lot easier to tune up as well..
Cheers,

On a positive note, a reliable 320+/320+ should be possible for very little cost.

went to beechdale subaru today to test drive car and after the response I got , I walked out. Walked around showroom and eventually 1 person there asked me if I wanted help advised that I had phoned to test drive 06 wrx , they said that they had someone on there way and they couldnt fit me in ( drove 40 miles to get there) and that I should come back tomorrow ! that was it ! couldnt believe it.
Called a guy up the road that has an 03wrx for sale, went and test drove that, very nice , great car and a helpfull seller, so maybe he might get my custom instead.
to be contd.
