I like mine (got a bit cheaper from someone on here ).

Wouldn't be without it, especially as I can keep an eye on the knock correct while I'm having to run it on **** petrol coz I couldn't find Optimax.

Worth it IMHO

Depends entirely on whether you are really interested in or can interpret the info. it can provide. If you like to be aware of what's going on, it's a useful device.

I have only one disliking on mine - that it doesn't provide data for all the parameters - that is probably more a shortcoming of the ECU than the SECS unit itself.

Apart from that - excellent piece of kit.

found it difficult to read i.e the digital boost display.
Much prefer a mechancal boost gauge as you know roughly what it's reading just by the angle of the needle.

Haven't got one myself .... But told by someone who has, that there is TOO much info and you spend your life with one eye on the monitor and one driving .

Sorry for the delay - went out and drank the national debt of a small African country after work yesterday

Fitted it myself in about 5 minutes (and I don't take things to bits coz I always end up with bits left over).

The only problem I have had, is getting hold of PSI3. They appear to not answer the phone and ignore email.

Other than that, well worth the money!

dont have any pics on this comp

but i have put it in the centre like tdt's one but i moved my stereo on top of the dash ans put a pocket in, the most difficult part of fitting is fishing the cable down throu the dash. so that tells you how difficult it is

My unit was bought used from the Scooby net for sale forum. It can display the following data, but is not recieving data to display.

Intake Temperature
Ignition Point (Deg BTDC)
Knock correction
AFR
Air Flow Mass
Exhaust Gas Temp

Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
(Both the oil paramters require extra sensors to be installed and connected)

The unit is installed in a UK Turbo 2000 (MY00) with the AE802 ECU.

If anyone is running the same unit in a car with the same ECU and getting values out for these parameters, i'd like to hear from them.

**goes off to find the manual**

PSI3 will upgrade the software on your unit to the latest release for a small amount (about £20 + Carriage IIRC)

What is it like to view in bright sunlight?

I like the new blue vfd ones but can't decide if the extra cost is worth it.

Also I've heard that the ecutek one is a bit different from the psi ones even though psi make them. Apparently it allows user switchable maps and parameters with an ecutek remap. Don't know if the psi one will do that.

Would prefer the psi one as the ecutek vfd is green and it will clash with my pioneer head that is blue.

From ecutek lol

Check the website.

Any ecutek dealer can order them.

They are slightly more expensive than the standard psi ones and have a green vfd instead of blue or lcd.

Both types claim to have user tuneable options (dependant on the ecu) but an ecutek dealer told me that ecutek said the normal psi ones aren't as adjustable or dont access as much stuff.

Both web sites claim the same spec (they would, they are both made by psi) so the cynic in me wants to know the difference. Are ecutek just trying it on so I buy theirs as I'd rather have a blue psi one?
