If we're talking blobeye (03-05) then the headlight is fiddly but relatively straight forward. Just a plastic twist-off cap that is tight due to the rubber O-ring seal, and then pop off the wire clip and disconnect the spade connector. Access is tight, but do-able unlike the sidelight, which requires the partial/full extraction of the headlight

nope its for a classic mate, ive pulled the rubber plug off with the 3 connectors now exposed which i assume are on the back of the bulb, but didnt want to yank that out and break something ?!

Another job for someone with girly hands.

On some models, the air inlet trunking on the driver's side is only held in by a 10mm bolt. That'll help to get at it.
Never had a problem on the other side though.

As mentioned above, the spring clip holds the bulb in...just feel for it and squeeze it on both sides and it hinges out the way.

the clip can be to the side of the bulb connectors, out of sight. I cannot see on your 'cos the picture isn't good.

If it's not got a clip then its unusual.

from memory
the thing that has "top" written on it is a massive rubber boot/cover

remove that and then the clip holding the bulb in place is underneath
