pikeys
casually driving through tooting high street (south london) minding my own business. get a massive splat on the windscreen. white **** all over the place.. was it a bird? no. fkin pikeys chucking eggs.
thing is... had a quick look when i get home to pick off the bits of shell that haven't blown off and it looks like the egg bounced of the top of the bonnet by the washer jets then hit the windscreen.
bit dark to see but from what i could feel the impact chipped the paintwork. will have to wait till tmrw till i can see the full extent of whats been done. suppose it could have been worse if it hit more of the bodywork rather than the windscreen.
now why is it funny for these people to chuck eggs at people's cars? why!!!!

When we bought our MR2 Roadster, it was about a year old. It had hardly done any mileage and was in excellent condition, apart from a weird looking mark on the rear. One day I was talking to someone who works in a bodyshop and he told me that the mark was the impact from someone 'egging' the car, apparently an egg makes a very distinctive impression on the paintwork as the shell collapses... he said they see it all the time

You said it yourself, they ar pikeys.
Honestly, some people have strange ideas of fun.
About 2 years ago some ar**hole threw something at my car damaging the rear nearside panel........... hilarious............... until I stopped and got ahold of him............. but that is another story.

I had an egg thrown at my last car and the shell scratched down to the metal - only I didn't notice until the weather got under it. Ended up with the roof being re-sprayed!

Happened to me a few weeks ago - MY05. It left very distinctive circle shaped rings of damage down to the metal, nearside rear door. Have touched up with touch-up stick but will need respraying.
Hilarious

A few years ago my uncles where driving to the pub at about 11pm, only for a loud smash on the side of his brand new Jaguar X-type, He thought that was strange, and decided to pull over down the street, he got out to look at the car, and he heard it again but it seemed as the object was fired from a some trees on the side of the road, so he decided to drive off in the other direction.
He then parked his car up, and walked back to where it had happened but walked the backway over to the Trees, so who ever was firing the objects couldnt see them, When they got to the trees there was a young kid with a pellet gun and a sight strapped to the top, shooting all the cars as they come past, So one of my uncles grabbed him and the other one phoned the police, I cant remeber what the police did, but they gave my uncles a good telling off for grabbing the kid, and said that they should have left it to the police to handle.

This happened to me the night before I went to a show in the Scoob, came out in the morning to see my 02 STI covered in them, one of them hit just under the rear screen on the boot and took a load of paint off, was totally gutted, think it must come down to jealosy. Wish the kids that did it knew how hard I work to have my pride and joy, also wish I had caught them! but then I would have probably ended up in caught with the justice system being the way it is!!! To add one time when I had my Pulsar some nutter kids fired a fire work at me while I was driving! did'nt catch those ***** either.

I'm really hating this country at the minute.
Personly I wouldn't have called the police at all, knowing they would have done f*ckall about it exept give the lad a telling off. I'd have just kicked the sh*t out of him then left. Far more of a deterant to him them anything the police would ever do. Also I'd have loaded the pellet gun, put it against his **** or thigh then fired.

Watch out for rock chuckers in Hereford.
When I went to pick up my WRX I was taking a quiet drive up through Hereford in my old Mondeo when a pair of loacal t**ts lobbed a rock, about the size of my fist, at my car.
Caught the front lip of the bonnet and chrome grill.
By the time I managed to stop they were legging it down the road.
Getting too old to chase after them.
But I suppose better then than after I picked up the Scooby.
Like you say no point telling the Bill, as they told me in the past they have to catch them doing it to prosectute.
And there's no chance of them doing that.
