My 1994 WRX had been extremely reliable during the last year of ownership and has covered just short of 150,000 kms. There are a couple of things to look out for though, such as the plastic part of the radiator where the top hose joins. I had to replace it shortly after I bought the car.

As for servicing, I do some interim oil changes myself (every 5000 kms!) but the rest of the servicing is done by a garage. Usually about £150 a go and it goes in once a year. Oil filters from Subaru are about £5, fuel filters are pricey at about £25. Graham Goode Racing and Roger Clark Motorsport do a lot of servcing parts for Suabarus but they are not genuine.

Roger Clark Motorsport has my vote 11/10

Bit of a long way for you & yes they are costly, however they are like many others, a quality operation.

Most of the UK dealers won't want to touch 'old' classic imports with a sh*tty stick. Best place really is Roger Clark Motorsport or Graham Goode Racing for parts.
