Default Subaru Impreza beats Porsche 911 - it's official

Both driven by Police officers ..and the porker destroyed itself in the attempt

Got to be worth printing out and carrying around in the glove box for when you're pulled next ...

Dont you just love P1's.

But must say it's more likely down to the driver.

Bet they get away with it, something about official need, perhaps "that they were fetching bacon sandwiches back to the station and were worried they would get cold".

I actually know both the people involved. They were not on duty and they are not getting away with it either, trust me.

Good.

I look forward to see if they get lines or detention.

Sorry if that sounds cynical.

They'll get done just as badly as if not worse than if they were not police officers, I know another who was responding to a stabbing and caused a small accident when turning his car around. Noone injured and a small amount of damage, stuck on by traffic officers for without due care and attention or similar and he got points on his dvla licence and a fine.

Looking at the other stories, it's hardly an objective, well informed news source, is it?!!

The answer is clear impreza are safe to drive at that speed so we should be able to and other cars not!

and

In May, a court found a West Mercia police officer not guilty when he was caught driving an unmarked car on public roads at 159 MPH without an emergency.

Thats a discrace!

I think it's quite comforting to know there are still coppers out there that are grounded in the reality of being a human being and not getting totally up their own ***** with this 'I'm a copper therefore I am a superior being robocop' type crapola ....to expect everyone to be the same and drive like old grannies night and day is not condusive to the well being of the community...yes, we all need to be considerate to other drivers but still you got to enjoy life a bit and driving fast ( when safe) is for many one of lifes greatest pleasures - I for one am glad there are coppers out there that feel the same and occasionally let the wonder of life surge through their high speed veins...it's just a shame he thought a porsche could fly
Yes, there are laws and they have a job to do but thankfully they are human and they still do what humans do...

If all the kia drivers who can just about manage about 55mph on a dry day in the straight and have a spazz and a panic attack and start flashing their main beams like crazy when you overtake them had their way we'd all be using the bloody bus...

vivre la passione moteur!!

Wink

this made me laugh...
They were travelling so fast that one motorist, who was driving at 65 mph, said he felt his car shake as they sped past him.
