Who's got the ultimate "sleeper"
I'm currently making a few mods to my version 5 type R with should make it a fair bit more powerful but have tried to maintain it's standard appearance. Apart from the FMIC you'd think its just got an aftermarket exhaust.
Got me wondering, what else is lurking out there?

Well, no impreza owners have given it any sign of recogniton on the road
Legacy B4 saloon. Small Jap legacy symbol as bonnet badge & tiny half inch chrome 'subaru' letters on boot.
B4 badge on grill & boot.
Looks totaly boring......isn't! good fun as a sleeper.

Surely it's all relative ?
Isn't a colt mivec with an 300bhp 2.0ltr turbo transplant, to a 300bhp Scoob, the same as a 600bhp Scoob, to more recognised super car ?
Mark.

there is a nova round here that looks really really sheddy, standard 3 spoke style rims etc, rust on it and its never cleaned.....
but there is an intercooler lurking behind the grill......
and the guy who owns it is like 30
When i was in southampton there was a sierra that was the five door hatch but had a twin turbo conversion on its 2.9 v6
that could catch you out

The days are long gone when you could use a Scoob as a sleeper. But there is one standard looking UK MY99 thats running near 500bhp, now that gets pretty close. Especially if you have a mildly modded Type R

Oh, may be I'm to old for this stuff......
Tell you what though, I came across a Clio a few weeks ago on the M6 by Coventry. It appeared to be any old nasty coloured Clio, even with narrow wheels & tyres, but hell it moved very very quickly.
Apparently it's equipped with an Audi TT engine, Turbo charged with Nitro, or so I'm told.
I have a quick 93WRX-Ra, and he pulled away, though he did catch me off guard as I was pulling onto the slip road. Mind I'm pretty sure If I had have been ready I would have had him.

I think Fensports 600+BHP 4WD corolla is quite a good one. Although it looks like a tidy car as it just has a set of rims on the outside.
Awesome car though.
Love it!
