Tax disc
My tax disc runs out at the end of this month and just noticed my MOT ran out last Friday! doh
Hopefully I'll be able to get it MOT'd and taxed byTuesday but is there any grace period for getting a new tax disc? i.e. will I get the fine if I re-tax on the 2nd Feb rather than before the 1st?
Cheers
Richard.

You can tax whenever you like .... but using a car on the public highway without a current MOT and Tax Disc displayed is an offence.
Thats the legalities ....... it's up to you to judge the risks of getting caught and whether you would actually get 'done'
You won't be illegal if you don't SORN for the 1st .... if thats what you're asking

Thanks Pete - yes, it was the SORN notification.
I'll only be driving it to the MOT garage but it was just whether I could get it booked in and done by Tuesday.
Richard.

Just to let you know, you are still legally allowed to drive a vehicle with no MOT on the public highway as long as you are driving directly to the MOT testing station and the vehilce is booked in!
