Default Cheers Mr Van Driver

Just done 500 mile round trip on the old girl MY00 London to Plymouth. I left Plymouth at 06:30 this morning and had empty roads. A bright sunny morning, with empty A38 and A303 and slightly slippery roads made me remember why I bought a scoob

I get home park outside my house and then some muppet loses control of his van and ploughs into the back of my charger. I have attached some photo's. Damage looks quite severe. Do you reckon that they will repair this or write it off (hope not).

Cheers

Cheers, apart from being covered in salt it's in VGC. Just got to hope that the floorpan is not rippled.

Sods law. This morning I was having a real blast coming back from Plymouth. Everything was great- you know the feeling when you are driving and everything is falling in place. This afternoon my car is a crumpled mess

No. To be fair he knocked on my door so I have all his details. Which is a bonus I suppose.

Makes a change these days. Had my car hit last summer whilst it was parked in a private car park behind my flat and I was in Vegas.... No notes and a £1700 repair bill for me...

Well I only parked on the street because my in-laws who were dog sitting while I was away for the night were on the drive. It was a one-off.

Mine was much worse than that a couple of years ago and it got repaired no problems, courtesy of the nouget in the Mitsubishi Shogun who wrapped into the back of me!! When you get it back, go over it with a fine tooth combe - mine was back in 3 times for 'snagging.' Put a dusting of flour over the boot carpet and monitor it for water ingress - notorious after rear end impact/ repair. Best of luck and sorry to hear about your car - accidents do happen and that is what insurance is for - at least no one was injured and the guy was honest enough to own up.

piggin hell, horrible thing to have.
I should know cos about 2 years ago, had exactly the same thing happen to me.
All the cars in front braked as the road narrowed, white van behind me tonning it, didnt see us and big red brake lights until too late

came right into my boot and crumpled the back end, boot lid everything.
Couldnt shut the boot, so had to cable tie it. no lights smashed so still legal to drive.
Got the worse stuff knocked out by Mr Palmer and then the car went into the bodyshop.
The boot floor was crumpled and creased but apparently a certain degree is ok and not a write off. I was not sure but assured by the insurance and bodyshop company so the work started. week or so later she was back and good as new. no leaking, no problems at all.

so hopefully that gives you some hope mate.
