Well... the good news is i've just got a great new job paying more money, 27days hols + pension that is a lot closer to home (no more 70 mile commutes in the 4 month old WRX that has now done almost 7000 miles - at vast expense)
bad news is... if i'd have known that 4 months ago i could have saved up a bit and gone for an STi (or even *whisper* an EVO)

IME when you start the new 'local' job you will get sent to Cornwall or somewhere for a couple of months and your mileage will be maintained.

that's a round trip to the girlfriend's parents in ... you guessed it... cornwall every other weekend. i can see those lovely A roads already

Whats the betting your fuel consumption does drop that much !! Car will only just warm up by the time get to work - I know I have this prob my self !!
