Question

Anyone have experience of PPP on a MY01 WRX? Is it £1600 well spent? What benefits does it produce?

Thumbs up

I went for a ride in one today, and I was most impressed! (Not as fast as my car, but you can't have every thing!!!)

With the new car, you don't get the 'back of the seat' feel, and even with the PPP it seems to lack that, but it picks up sooner, and seems to hold it longer!

Best bet is to try one! I think Bell & Colvill have one as a demo car (Surrey)

It's a subjective thing, so try it and let us know how you get on!

Cheers

Bought my MY01 on the strength of a test drive with the PPP kit fitted. Ordered mine with the car, but have to wait until the 6th Nov to get it fitted. Expensive but worth it IMHO. Exhaust note is terrific!

Maybe Mr Tang would like to put things in perspective and detail his cars output before he makes a sweeping comment like he has done!!!

PPP transforms the car. I wouldnt swap my MY01 PPP for anything (maybe a new STI next year???)

Remember the car hasn't loosened up until 5000 miles + and you should get an idea of the power. Remember it goes ape ****e after 4500 revs - so make sure when you test it that you use the extra revs (keeps pulling until the redline where it used to drop off after 6000rpm)

The PPP has totally transformed my car too (I had 10,000 miles on the clock already - which helps). Every gear now has the power of the gear below. No more changing down to 4th for fast overtakes on motorways. Seem to be able to stay in gears for longer, which having to change down. Personally, I think it was money well spent!

ran my MY01 WRX for 5000 miles without PPP. Had the PPP installed last week. Considered the options but went for PPP because I favour full warranty protection. Really impressed with the results. Now pulls well in 2nd and 3rd and boy does it sound good.
