Default pre registered my05 STI prices?

Hi Guys,

Is £21,000 a good price for a delivery mileage (has 10 miles on the clock) pre reg wrx sti? The car was registered in december 2005 and will be taxed for 6 months, it is in WR blue.

I understand that this is a huge saving when compared to the rrp. I was just wondering if anyone had managed to achieve a better deal, given the fact that the my06 is around and that there seems to alot of new my05 stock.

Any feedback appreciated!

I would aim for £21000 depending on extras like PPP, springs etc.

I have seen 3 STI's for £21995 on 55 plates 50 miles on the clock.

They have been on the forecourt for about 3 months now started @ £23995.

Yep, im buying one for £21500 so your getting a better deal than me, looks like 300 of them were registered by IM in dec (20th mine), if id known there were 300 i would of waited a bit

Only problem is the warranty starts when its registered (ie dec 05) so the longer you wait the less warranty there is.

Port,
Ive recently looked into this, and was offred the same deal as you,£21K for a pre reg.I think that Subaru are to start a campaign shortly offering this deal wholesale.I also think that the prices might go even lower yet.I finally opted for a Seat Leon Cupra R for £15,500 brand new and not pre reg.I know its not a Subaru, but its a great fun car all the same that goes sideways when you put your foot down, fantastic.Im getting old now and watching my pennies, regards, SIMON.

Haddocks in Colchester will do a brand spanker for £21995, you will be the first registered keeper. Unless you really want blue I would go for a different colour, just to be a bit different.

Problem is matt, that the 'other colour' is invariably silver (shinny grey as i call it)

I had a very sad moment yesturday in sainsbury car park, i walked down an isle of about 50 cars, and counted 28 silver cars thats more than 50%!.

Im sure residuals on silver cars will be bad in the future.

Funnily enough i did actually buy a leon cupra r at 15,500! Unfortunately when i went to collect the car last week it had about 8 stone chips and a scuff on the bumper! (this was an unregistered car, also under the revolutions offer) I ended up getting a refund as they could not source another car in the same colour/spec! I was pretty gutted, it was an absolute bargain. My friend also bought one and had no problems at all, i guess i was just unlucky!

BlueSimon, dealer is DAYS

cheers

My first choice was crystal grey, im finding it hard to find a dealer that has this colour that will match the 21k though. I know the blue is very common but it does look great imo

I went for Crystal Grey, had Blue and Black in the past. IMO the Black is stunning if you have time to keep it clean.

I agree the Blue is nice and everyone must have a blue one once.

Simon,

Enjoy the car mate! I did phone a few dealers at the time but they all said the same thing, i also contacted seat directly but they stated that the offer had finished and were unable to help me further.

I have ordered the my05 sti now, i am picking it up on the 11th, hopefully i won't have any issues this time!

Cheers

That's a good price mate!

I went into dealership near glasgow and a pre reg (55 plate) wrx sti with 5mls on clock was priced at 23k, after a bit of talking i was offered same deal as you 21k for car!!

Had to bite my tounge and walk away as a bit over my budget as i am looking for one with PPP and my budget is 20k.
