HPI
Hi, if a car has been in an accident, (ie crashed into a fence), no other car involved but the police were called and the car was recovered, would that show on a hpi check? I presume that the police records would be checked by the hpi check and show as being involved in an accident??
thanks

If the insurance company don't even know about it then it shall not go onto any records.
Same if you backed into a brick pillar and had it repaired, that too would not show.
Would show stolen-recovered though.

HPI will only show total loss ie insurance claim. Other than that a serious accident where police are called may result in a V23 being submitted so it may show up.Some stolen cars are recovered before insurance pays out and if no damage is caused they are unrecorded.....
