I ordered some parts from a Seat dealer via another forum on Monday, and gave him credit card details. He said delivery would be today or tomorrow. They didn't arrive today so PM'd him on forum and he said courier forgot to pick them up
, and also he'd destroyed my credit card details before he put it through the machine, so needs them again. ![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Bear in mind he has address, credit card details and security number - as you need to give when buying anything over the phone.
Before anyone says, it's a genuine SEAT dealer, and he's the parts manager - and I went through their switchboard.
But, isn't it at the very least bad practice, and at worst potentially fraudulent, to record such credit card details, as opposed to putting them straight through on machine?
Am I too suspicous?
