what is the differnece between calssic/newage keys locks?

what is the difference between classic/newage ignition keys?
Does anyone know if the actual key shape is different between classic and newage impreza?
I know that uk/euro newer models etc have a chip linked to the immobiliser in them but is the actual key/ignition barrel differenet?
About to sort a group buy of these but need to know if they would fit both models
i can't see any difference in any of these keys??
