well it will only have one cat on the downpipe. you should be able to see from the top.

where are you? you can borrow mine. you can also tell by looking under... you will see a pipe that's not looking standard... a cat downpipe has a metal shield...

just done some research, so my car definatly doesnt have a centre cat? if i have got a decat downpipe it seems easier to bolt up a centre cat?

or have i been missunderstanding??

i might just remove the decat and put a cat back on it, i will go outside shortly and have a squiz at it but its cold and im not dressed yet lol (day off)

the car won't have a centre cat. i would put a downpipe cat on for the MOT. or find a friendly tester...

You're better off just fitting a centre cat for the MOT, or permanent if you're that concerned

Sight easier than messing with the d/p.

If your centre is the original OE, you'll need to remove it to see if it's a cat I made the mistake of assuming the 'lump' was a cat but it's a resonator on the STi classics. If there's a mesh across the inlet side of the lump, it's a cat.

JDM Wagons only have one CAT anyway, that's in the downpipe.

The centre as you say is a resonator.

If it's a 1995, does he even need a cat on there? When did the law change to make them compulsory?

You are right thats a resonator box, just checked my old center with original cat, the cat would have been to the right just after the resonator on the top pic but cant be seen, i only saw that pic, the second shows clearly that there are no cat to the left of the resonator.

my bad
