If it's white then it's not a V-ltd - they are all sonic blue - a la mine

They might not have been sonic blue, but they where still blue (sports blue). White ones are the 'ordinary' ones.

V Limited refers to the RA varient and Limited refers to the STI Varient

The early ones up until 1996 came in the same shade of Blue as the WRC car of the same year

V Limited has roof scoop and DCCD the Limited only has the roof scoop

Version 5/6 sti type ra,s are the limited editions.

Previous versions to these where called v-limited.

My car is a version 5 type ra 555 wrc limited edition, and has the roof scoop and dccd.

The non sti versions ie wrx ra have no dccd and i think no roof vent.

I'd agree with you there.

Looks like a 555 to me. Sideskirts etc.

Not a V6 - no crystal lights.

£3000 - bargain!!!

Your opinion mate and your entitled to it

Its a Zerosports bodykit minus the sideskirts. Not how my car looks but how it goes with the HKS 2.2 Stroker, HKS Front mount and a JUN Hybrid turbo. It was all put together in Japan and i paid 5000 for this spec

HKS 2.2 Stroker kit
HKS Front mount Intercooler
Large JUN / IHI Hybrid turbo
HKS SSQV Blow off valve..............Gay and sounds like a bus
GRex Oil cooler with remote filter pod
HKS Super Power Flow Air Filter
Full HKS Hiper exhaust system
HKS Hipermax 2 coilovers
Carbon Fibre STI Front Strut Brace
Bomex Mid Strut brace
Apexi rear Strut Brace
HKS Twin Plate clutch and uprated flywheel
Cusco plated rear diff
APexi Power FC and Commander
Blitz Dual Solenoid Boost Controller with 4 boost settings {0.7, 0.9, 1.2 and 1.5bar}
Zerosports body kit comprising Bonnet {GRP}, Fr bumper, Rr bumper and Adjustable Spoiler
Greddy oil and water temp meters
Tomei Air to Fuel Ratio meter
Greddy Boost meter
Lightweight Advan RC alloys
Nismo Uprated fuel pump and regulator
HKS Dual Power Ign system
Subaru 4pot calipers with uprated discs and pads
All this on top of std STI Limited spec.
I have the brochure from when the car was sold in Hokkaido in 1996 and it shows the V-Limited as a RA{DCCD, Roof Scoop and Colin McRae sig on seat} and the Limited as the STI version {Roof scoop and STI logo on seats} The 555 model was in 1995 and based on the 1995 STI and had 555 logo seats

The Limited series of cars were used as the basis for homologation of the Grp N rally cars.

The V-Limited and Limted series runs from Jan 1996 until Jan 2000 with the Limited being the non RA varient and the V-Limited was the RA varient with the DCCD. All Limited should show a number plaque underneath the ashtray
and have a FIA badge on the bootlid. There is no set spec list for the Limited varients as they were built to order with a 12 month waiting list on each new model release. This is the reason there is so many variations on the Limited and V-Limited spec lists with some having roller bearing turbo's and some not, some have RAYS wheels and some do not

Source of my info is HyperRev STI Perfect Guide which gives you a bloodline of all the varients up until 2002 and not the Chris Rees book which in comparison to the Hyper Rev guide gives some weird info. I would rather go with the publication from the cars homeland

Well i can assure you that i(and four others known on scoobynet) own version 5 sti type ra limited,s.with dccd/roof vents/waterspray...not v-limited.

As i pointed out above the version 5/6 sti type ra,s are not v-limited,s just limited.

I can post a pic of the plaque to prove this.

Yes, you are quite right. Up to and including ver4 they are 'V-Limited'. After that they became 'Limited'. It changed on the ver5 because of the use of roman numerals for the version number (V=5).
