Thumbs up

That sucks!

Glad you and yours are OK.
I was burgled some time ago whilst we where in bed asleep Me, my partner and our 18 month daughter. They did not come upstairs (pretty sure they did not, we have two child gates top and bottom of the stairs and neither disturbed) but i still hate the fact they where in the house whilst we where there and i di not hear a thing!

I still get restless nights over this now!

Glad it's been recovered.

When you get it back mate, take it to a specialist for a good check over to see if there is any non-visible damage you might want to claim off the insurance. FOr peace of mind, I think i'd want them to give the engine a good look over to make sure its not been thrashed within an inch of its life or had parts taken etc...

Hope it's all in good order.

Thats what you would think,

But when I suffered the from a similiar incident recently, my insurance company NU did not cover the police investigation cost, they will only cover towing or removal and storage cost's if the vehicle was deemed to need removal due to hazardous and or not secure abandonment. They will also cover towing fees and storage for purpose of repair.

But not at the police request for investigation work to aid them in capture of the scum who took it.

lets hope your insurance was better than that of NU

Not trying to put the dampers on it mate, glad they recovered it and hope its not a damaged as mine was scum!!!!

What tracker cover did you have? How long did it take for them to get the information to the police and car found?

Seems like they did a very good job.

To hell with a tracker ...... If someone nicks my car they are welcome to it, I dont want it back.........

Plus if you cancel your tracker subscription they still leave it turned on anyway Mine was still active 8 months after I turned it off. When I rang them they said we leave them running incase you change your mind sir

Tracker had a location including aerial photo of location whilst I was on the phone to them. The police were on the scene within 20 minutes and the vehicle was recovered to the police compound for forensics inside 90 mins.Once they have finished with is my Insurance company will have it examined and we take it from there
Still don't know about any damage etc.

I'll second that. I brought a german sheppard as i live in a dodgy part of stoke and didn't fancy anyone in the house and didn't want the car going missing.(Only thing is she barks at any noise out the front so i'm awake all hours grrrrr).I suppose this is a good thing really though.

I'm glad you and your family are all ok and i hope that the motor is ok....

Was gutted to read your original post, but glad you've now got the car back, well, at least you will have once the police have finished with it
Glad I've also finally been able to read a good story about a tracker doing its job, as I've just started the payments on the one that came with my car. At least I now know it'll work if I ever have the unfortunate need to use it. Hope the car is ok, and was not used for anything unsavoury.
chris.
