Default Thank You Subrau!! Bought my 1st car 2day!!!

Well..

I finally took the plunge..

Picked up and X reg Turbo 2000, 55k on it, totally standard! 3months warranty aswell. Got a good part ex on my trust saxo aswell.

Been driving it all afternoon, its amazing.

Love the noise, the handling... dont really like the seats tho :P (well my saxos seats were old n worn padding wise).

My dad took it out and actually said 'son, i think you should buy THIS'

Going to fit a VTA dump valve and a gauge pod for boost\oil pressures once i have ££'s, otherwise its staying standard

Heres some photos:

Cheers to everyone who offered advice on buying it aswell!!

Hi there, my scoob looked like that once, get rid of the pea shooter back box and the orange repeaters and you'll be on your way to scoob addiction

Iv got 6x4" magnex back box, if you want to make me an offer, nearly new, was only on the car 8 months

All the best anyway

He's right mate, get the standard exhaust off mate it strangles the live out of the engine.I got a miltek system with sports cat freed up some horses and it not stupidly load like some systems, some people may disagee with me but it up to you a induction kit is a waste of time unless you like the noise i got a k&n replacement filter works just has well and its cheaper.

Very nice car indeed, thats almost the same as mine except I've had a Magnex system fitted 1st cat back with rear decat and oval back box. The sound difference is amazing and also put in a green panel air filter.

nice looking car - don't bother with the dump valve (the OEM one is more than perfect), nor the induction kit - Subaru's aren't exactly meant for these.

Better still, go for a better exhaust - I changed mine to a Scoobysport (Hayward & Scott - the proper one )

More importantly - watch yourself, as this is NOTHING like a Saxo. Treat it without respect, and it will bite you in the a$$ BIG style.

In the meantime, enjoy it - one of the best feelings ever

cheers for kind words and exhaust ideas.

i'm definitely not going for a uber loud exhaust, 2 and bit years of ownin a saxo vts with a full system has turned me off them!!

Green panel filter will be going in at 60k service methinks (ive read about induction kits not being the best idea), along with a possibly a VTA valve (i love the noise.. but undecided though).

Also will probably buy some uprated headlight bulbs for some night drivin

heh didnt spot the vent thing!!

also yeah respect is the number one thing on my driving agenda, to be honest when i put my foot down a bit going down a slip road i thought "woah, and to think people go FASTER than this in these things on a normal road!"... worrying really :P

Have to agree with the others, forget about the dump valve, you're a grown-up now driving a grown-ups car! Just change the backbox and enjoy it as it is (for now )

Same car as me apart from I have gold standard 16s! I gave you advice on your post with qs

De-tango: 90 delivered for crystal side lights, repeaters and front indicators inc. silver bulbs. (Flat4online on ebay)

Full de-cat: 500+

Then join my group buy for a remap in Powerstation, and you'll be a lot happier

Ditch the dump valve idea matey, and keep it real

It might be worth dropping a new MAF sencer on just to be on the safe side.
99/00 have fragile MAF's... that's why many stay with the standard air box but just up rate the filter
