am i correct in thinking that a turbo 2000 made in year 2000 is a WRX? did they just not call them WRX then or is there a difference?? anyone?
No, the UK turbos (classic shape) up to early 01 Y reg (I believe) are Turbo 2000s. Classic shape Jap imports are known as WRXs and STIs, and newage UK and Jap turbos are called WRXs and WRX STIs.
so they are only classic age wrx if they are imported? is there much performance difference?
Early wrx models are about 230-odd BHP(?) and they increase in power steadily through the years until they peak at 276 bhp for the latest ones. For a definitive answer, google for SIDC FAQ.
