Default Bye Bye STI - Gas anyone?

Its gone my beautiful Mint black 54 STI with prodrive box and 14K miles -
could not shift it at any price on here - - and still see people buying and looking at paying high dealer prices, just amazed. Is everyone scared to buy from a fellow scoobyneter?
Anyway it drove away yesterday and I need to look for another car (as well as a job.)
The only job that's got to inverview stage so far is 62 miles away!! so will be a diesel, or maybe gas powered?? anyone had a gas conversion on another car?? looking at a Volvo s60 with LPG system on it? Even looking at a PT Cruiser Diesel.

my mum (a very slow, sensible driver) has just changed from her octavia diesel, she really wanted a PT Cruiser, but said it was just too crap to drive

she's having a golf plus delivered soon

not sure you'd be able to stand a pt after an STi.

what about an octavia/fabia vRS?

what about a

Yes inbetween Scoobs I had a Ford Explorer that I had converted to LPG , make sure it's been done properly by an approved WWW.LPGA.CO.UK fitter , as your insurance company will want to see a copy of the conversion cert . You will get about 10% less MPG than when running on Petrol (just flick a switch to change from one to another) but at about 1/2 the price of petrol it's very economical .Make sure there's a garage that stocks LPG nearby too .

Sounds fun but I think the wife and kids (not to mention the dog) may find it a bit cramped..

As for the PT in my previous job I worked in US and Austria on the diesel vesrsion before it was launched and in my last job we supplied several gearbox parts, so always fancied putting me money where my mouth is and actually getting one.
