Default Classic 95 WRX

Hi guys... quick question.....

A JDM 95 WRX is approx 260bhp right? If I were to go for PPP roughly what gains could I expect to see & whats involved (sorry! Bit new to this).....

Whats the approx price? Searched but couldnt find for this specific car! Any idea where near Swindon I could get it done? Can/will Subaru do the work on imports or do I need a specialist?

Thanks

Cant have ppp on an import. A uk car the same year with ppp is still only 240 BHP.

Ahhhh.... ok! Bit of a broad question but how do people go about modding their JDM cars? Filter & Xorst... increased boost etc!?

What sort of power figures can you reach on standard internals & still run reliably?

You'll only get it to around 280bhp with standard fuel pump and injectors, BUT you can hove bucket loads more torque. The cheapest way would be to get hold of a ScoobyECU, hard to come by though.

Ok well how about a slightly different question. Say I had a standard JDM WRX & 2 grand to spend on performance mods.....

Where would you spend the money? Im guessing Xorst & filter will take much of that... But ideas please

I managed 329bhp out of standard injectors on my MY93 WRX but that was with a walbro 255 pump, and some other mods , but nothing to £££££

brakes are a good idea but for your power i would go for
a set of headders done by harvey off here
exhaust system.550 injectors air filter ,front mount intercooler then remap then you should have a big smile my opinion only but you will probabilly get some advances on this..i have a 95 wrx import currently running 315bhp and i have yet to get front mount, injectors, headders and remap just trying to raise the funds..

cheers mike

Sounds cool Mike thanks

Just outta interest if you are yet to get those mods, what have you done to achieve the 315bhp that you have at the mo!?

Ok sounds good. Are there any places or specialists in the South West that people can recommend? Zen performance sounds good but a bit far!?

Also are WRX of that age prone to any major probs? Anything I should look out for/ get checked out health wise?

For 2k I would fit AST suspension, a larger rear anti-roll bar, anti-lift kit, bumpsteer mod, full alignment and a big brake kit. You'll be going much faster than someone with std suspension and 350hp!

Power FC is your best bet, but you'll just have to get it remapped when you change the exhaust, filter, pump, injectors, etc.
You might want to go middle of the road in the engine, suspension and brake departments to get a better all-round machine (e.g. filter, exhaust, springs & shocks, front disks/pads, and gauges will help for later on).
