Default Fitting a new clutch

I need a new clutch on my MY96. I have bought a new clutch and flywheel but I need a garage to fit it. I have tried a couple of well known scooby garages but they are just a bit out of my price range. Would anybody be able to recommed a garage which would be able to do it for a reasonable price? I live in Cheshire but would be willing to travel.

If you could travel down to the Midlands with the car, should think my mate would do it at cheap money, but I would have to ask him first.

I will be at the Midlands Meet on the 5th March. Will you be going to that one? If not, PM me with his cost details etc if he is willing to do it.

Thanks for the offer but Plymouth is just a bit too far! Dont think the clutch would make it that far

maybe best to just wait until you can afford it, better pay 40quid an hour for 3hours work well done than 20quid/hour for 8hours messing about with something broken

then we must be way behind the times in scotland....

you should change or recondition the flywheel to maximise the life of the new clutch, the old flywheel would be pretty roughed up by the time you do the clutch

The prices we were quoted were about 300 + VAT which is a bit more than I can afford as I have bought the clutch and flywheel, I was advised by several knowledgeable people to replace the flywheel as the clutch is slipping really bad and might have caused a crack on or scored it.
