I think it's cause with Subaru they change the model year while the car still looks the same in a lot of cases lol

should be used instead of STi7 - 8 - 9 - 10 etc .......STi's with numbers after them stopped at 6.

Model Year is as misused as STI numbers on New Age cars..... People commonly use the prefix 'MY' before stating a year with little idea what model year their car actually is. I'll try to make that make more sense with an example. You might hear someone say that their November 1997 manufactured car "is a MY97"; what they mean is "its a 1997". Itll actually be a 1998 model year car, because production of the next model year usually starts in September/October (with Porsche it always starts on the same day, but thats the Germans for you). See what I mean?
