With all this bad weather and the unfortunate fact I don't have a garage - Is it worth me getting a car cover?
I'm tempted, but also concerned about all the moisture forming underneath the cover.
Any thoughts?

I used to use them with my old classic cars. They are excellent if you are using them short term, if you are planning on leaving the cover on for a weeks then they would trap moisture and rust things!
Never put the cover on if the car is already wet/damp!!

My scoob is generally parked up during the week and I use a cover to keep bird crap, tree sap etc off the paintwork.
You can buy breathable covers made of woven polyester textile which avoids the problem of moisture retention but they are more expensive than the solid plastic variety.
As above, you don't want to go putting a cover over your scoob when it's dirty or you will scratch the paintwork.
A few of us on SIDC got our covers from a company called Cover Systems (01933 410 851) and can recommend them. Expect to pay around £100 and their covers are tailored to your scoob and will allow for the STi or ironing board spoiler!
