Default Best Price Pre Reg MY05 STI

Just wondered if anyone is aware of dealers trying to shift the last of the MY05 STI models, and if so, what is the best price around at the moment.

Just test drove the MY06 model, and did not like it. Not sure why....maybe too quiet etc., but just prefer MY05.

If anyone does know of any that are still available, where from, and what price....your help would be appreciated.

We just bought a 55reg STI from GMD in durham for £21,500 with delivery mileage.

I would like to think we weren't ripped off if we have been please don't tell me it's worth it though, I love it!

What's the latest on the prices these are going for? There appear to still be a few around at dealers.

Just wondered if folks are getting them for less than the advertised £21,995 average price? Also seems to be a mix of 55 & 06 pre-registered cars available.

Thought about changing my MY04 Sti for one but guess the exchange price will be crap based on the low price of the MY05 Sti's.

At least be truthful and say "EU sourced" because every Subaru is imported from the land of the rising sun if you want to look at it that way.

why not get the new 2.5 update car (my06)? It is a bit pointless getting a pre reg old shape unless subaru can undercut mpoint by a huge amount.

Don't like the new MY06 Sti. Just can't take to that extra rear window spoiler at all and the front end just doesn't do it for me.

I drove both cars last Friday - MY06 STi & an MY05 STi PPP.

To be honest there's nothing wrong with the MY04 Sti I have at the moment (only 11K miles on her) and I would only change if the deal offered was too good to refuse. Before I do any serious enquiring I was just wondering what prices folks were getting these Pre-Reg MY05 STi's for at the moment.

I bet if you did get the my05 car you would still have the thought in the back of your mind that you could have the my06 for the same money(or cheaper because mpoint have exhausted the my05 stock).
Have you test driven the my06 sti?

21k for march 06 registered sti and £1400 for PPP is about the best i've got so far. and the PPP was offered at that price with minimal interest from me, sure that price could come down a little aswell

As I said, I drove both the MY06 STi & an MY05 STi with PPP on Friday. I also said why I didn't like the MY06 for it's appearance - the drive wasn't too bad IMO but it was a lot quieter. The interior is also exactly the same as the MY05 so they didn't put in any effort to change or improve this at all.

Do you work for Motorpoint as you seem to be banging their drum constantly?

Hi All

Just remember that the My06 from Motorpoint is an Import and Subaru Uk wont do warrenty work on them now.

Are the My05 that you are test driving the ones with the new hubs and running gear for the new model My06? This what i call the New old shape Sti8

Cheers Dougie

Some people just don't get it. There has been enough said on here saying that they do honour warranties and that it is illegal for them not to.

Motorpoint are now doing MY06 STI OTR for £21300

Hi KiwiGTI

well it has been the first i have seen that Subaru Uk do the warrenty work now.

Last time i looked any warrenty work done was paid for by the customer then they had to chase to get there money refunded from the importers.

Spoke to local dealer as well and he said they aint doing the warrenty work.

But heay its is fredom of speach i have and can say it if i wish dont mean we have to agree on it.

Scare tactics mate. As long as the car is EU sourced, no problem.
