Hello guys has any body fitted an afterburner vortex rear box to there 05 spec sti with out ppp just wanted to know if it made any diffrence to the flat four sound standard sti box is a bit to quiet if you ask me will be going down the ppp road but want a better sound from the engine for now.

 

Not got an STi but a 05 WRX, standard back box was way too quiet.. got an Afterburner and happier with burble.. but not as good as my Ninja was on my old classic..

 

One of my mates has a 03 sti and that sounds alot better with the afterburner, i didnt even here him pull up outside my house with the standard back box, now i can here him pull into my road

I've got the H+S version,sounds just about right

although that is with the PPP

 

Sweet motor Elmer Fudpucker ,i will get ppp but just want a bit of the old scooby burble 05 spec sti,s are a bit to quiet for my liking what was the fittment like ! thanks for the response guys
