speeding summons
it had to happen - clocked at 37 in a 30 by mobile speed camera van. letter arrived this morning £60.00 + 3 points if i accept it and pay within 28 days. it was a fair cop so its out with the cheque book
my own fault & only me to blame
question ? the van was parked on a very narrow central reservation on a dual carriageway - is this illegal parking?

Let them summons you to court, and if they haven't sent you the photo's/video's within 7 days of the hearing then their evidence will be inadmissable due to you not being given adequate opportunity to formulate a defence

The poster said they will pay .... no need for Keyboard Warriors here!!
I don't agree that 37 in a 30 deserves £60 and 3 points, mind you; - £30 and 3 points would be fair IMHO.
It's the points that worry most.

To secure a speeding conviction, there need to be evidence/ confession from the driver and evidence of speeding. Photos are not sufficient to prove the offence, the full video from the enforcement period is required. Since the cps/ police are extremely reluctant to release these full videos there is a reasonable chance that the case will fold.
Best option at this moment is to pop over to www.pepipoo.com and join the fightback forum and post your details.
So much fun can be had when you have read up on how to use the law against the cps/police.
There is nothing much to lose by fighting the allegation in your case (37 in 30zone), maybe a few extra ££ in fines, IF you lose, and bear in mind once it goes to the summons stage the scammers dont get any of your money either .
