Default Running a higher mileage Turbo 2000(on a budget!)

Hi all,

Considering coming back to owning a Scooby again! Last one was back in 2001/2002 a brand spanker and cost me a fortune to run.

However times change, I walk to work and fuel bills would be minimal......Have seen w/x plates for 7000 ish which look good - 60k miles - my only concern left is running costs and I forget what they are........

Am I right - servicing every 6 months or 9000 miles? how much are the services I seem to remember the cheap one was 150 and the next one 400??

any help appreciated

Andy

Service interval on UK classics is 6 months or 7500 miles - whichever is the sooner. If you're not doing many miles though, just servicing once a year should be adequate (later Scoobs are on 12 month intervals in any case). You're probably better using a specialist than a main dealer to keep costs down.

Cheers,

Ian.
