Interest free on new Turbo !
#1
Just had a letter from my dealer - Bell & Colvill to say that they are getting a new Impreza Turbo in a couple of weeks & would I like a drive.
They also supplied a quote :
£21,191 OTR
£ 4,691 Dep
12 payments @ £349
1 payment @ £ 12,312
This is interest free which I though was unheard of on brand new models...?
Letter also says they have a P1 for demo & that there are "a number for sale" giving late deliveries by Prodrive/new model due now as the main reason for canceled orders.
Brew.

BrewandBake,
Are you SURE this is on a brand new model?? The reason I ask is because I was there on Tuesday and while I was waiting for some educationaly sub normal mechanic to service my car I was having a look round the showroom (obviously after I had read the single out of date copy of autotrader)
Anyway they had a brand new red mica car sitting there all unloved and the price was £21,191. Wonder if this is the car they are trying to get rid of??
Also manufacturers usually only do 0% finance when they want to get rid of the last reamining cars before the new model comes out (Which explains why lotus were selling elises on 0% finance last month!)

Lancaster in Pangbourne are also having a special 2-day P1 event, and state that the availability of P1s is due to cancelled orders.
I guess that anyone in the market for a P1 right now should be able to haggle for a discount...

You have misread the letter, they are referrring to stocks of THE OLD MODEL!!!!!!!
B&C stocked up on P1s via dealer orders, now they have them kicking around
Another one for the muppet show

Yup Sunlip - you are right - misread the letter. Thats what you get for speed reading !
So its interest free on "old" turbo's in stock at B&C....makes the "new" model less attractive still !!
Sorry if the original post was mis-leading guys n gals.

Suntit wants to buy up all the unsold P1's at twice the price - we all know that he thinks Subaru and thier dealers deserve buckets loads more of our cash
Seriously, Mill Lane have a P1 in too - I had a look see while the service was carried out on mine .. what I saw was this:-
2 Doors
NO radio?
NO sunroof
Same interior as mine
at £11,000 more?? oh no no no no no!!!
I suspect that we shall see plenty of new P1' skicking around looking for new owners in a couple of months time at around £20,000
Might buy one for the missus then??

Blue Pete, i dont need to buy one for your missus as i give her plenty enough already
Perhaps you should as she tells me you can never give her enough???
The only downside would be that you couldnt go out with her in it as it only has 2 doors and no rear hatch and no sunroof for you to try and squeeze your self in through either. Even if you did manage after 20 years of SlimFast she wouldnt let you as coz there is no radio and she'd have to listen to you talking instead!

But I thought YOU were a fat old scooby owner (and I don't mean the scooby is old and fat) - so when do you want me to come round and give your missus a seeing to - I reckon I can do a better job than you even with a broken arm!!.
