whats a wrx sti worth with blown engine
im asking this as i have just spotted one its a 1998 wrx sti import got 80k on the clocks but the engine has a suspected blown piston he is asking 3k for the car and it looks really clean
was thinking of buying it putin an engine in and keeping it or do you lot think it more hassel that its worth!!

3k for the car and 3k for a rebuild.... not too bad a value i think, BUT you dont know what the car drives like without the blown engine, the clutch could be knackered or problems with the gearbox or diffs, take that into consideration if you want to buy this car.
