According to "The Knowledge" at the back of EVO magazine, they tested a std. WRX in Issue 78 April 2005.
Has anyone seen this issue and can you confirm if they did before I buy a back issue please, as when I look it up on their website it doesnt mention it.
The only thing it may have been was in a feature called "£20K heroes" but I am not sure.
Can anyone help please.

I used to print Evo, and barely a month went by without one Scoob or another being in it. Lately they have become quite dismissive of the marque and its image
and they no longer print it with us
If I remember I'll have a look through our archive at the weekend and see if I can find a copy.

that's true they used to love Scoobies, I remember one article for car of the year in which a P1 narrowly missed out on top spot save for a 550 Marenello!!
They are now as you put quite dismissive of the mark, I wonder why???

advertising and feebees from other manufacturer's ?
We all know it goes on, a Mt J Clarkson even admited so on TV -a well know manufacturer offered to let him keep the car after a favourable review, he returned the car (ok benefit in kind and IRS tax implications, but they offered him the darn car).
Just curious, I haven't seen any performance figures for the MY 2006 WRX standard from any of the magazines. I woud have thought with all the new bands of hot hatches VV Golf, Ford Focus ST225 etc
there would be good reason to perform a shootout as fully loaded they are all around the same price.
Cheers,
MP

Evo rates the MY06 Spec C in the saloons section of "the knowledge"
I guess that there is more competion now for a scooby than a few years ago.
