My cars now done 34000 miles and I think its about time the discs got changed. I've already had pads fitted a few 1000 miles ago but they are crap. Is it me or are bugeye WRX brakes crap?
What Discs and pads would you guys recommend?

I've just fitted standard discs and pads front and rear. They try to throw me through the screen every time I use them. Most impressed, don't remember them being this good when the car was new.

Standard discs are OK, but grooved do improve things in harsh environments (track etc). Don't be tempted to get drilled as they have a habit of cracking around the drill holes.
Ferodo DS2000, Mintex 1144 or Pagid RS4.2.1 Black are all excellent aftermarket pads. If you regularly track then consider DS2500 or 1155. I think the squealing is down to the caliper design, as I have had squeal with new pads by Subaru, EBC and Ferodo. All applied with copperslip. It seams to fade after about 3k miles though.
I agree with the above post about Goodridge stainless braided lines. Improve pedal feel and eliminate fade. Fit along with a good DOT5.1 fluid.
