Hey guys'n gals scnoobie here, advice anyone?
Lo everyone,
Just thought id say hi to everyone and would like some advice on buying my first scoobie
Im looking to spend anything between £3000 & £5500 on the old shape 2.0L Turbo WRX at around 70k max mileage.
I just wondered if there are any particular model years to avoid 1993, or 1998 for example and what are the main things to be aware of when viewing??
I've done some looking around on the net the last few days and i've not come up with that much really, so I thought I might as well just go ahead and post this.
I've looked into Insurance and I know I dont fancy the P1 or the latter shapes
Like anyone, I would like to avoid a raped back to standard car, but dont want to spend shed loads on body mods and rims if you know what I mean..
Would prefer Silver if poss.
Thanks in advance for any answers

Just out of interest and genuinely not taking the p1ss, was "fatter" a typo. Did you mean faster .
If it wasn't a typo, you may wish to save up for a new age.

The imports have more BHP but the insurance takes you in the A**. I fell for it 6 years ago but i cant say i regret it. Look out for import STI or WRX stickers on UK models (if your veiwing classics). Dealers try to rip you off for the difference but its mostly easy to tell. Appart from the engine bay the UK's have a Glove box in the middle of the dash. None of the jap performance models do!
