Got me 1st scoob!!!
Hi everyone,
Got me first scooby today!! 99 turbo 2000 in blue with full leather and all for just £5650.
The cars in great nick and WOW DOES IT GO!!,that is one amazing sounding engine, I love it.
The car is standard apart from a custom exhaust with decat pipe he had fitted, sounds nice but a bit too load , he still had the original exhaust so I mite get them swapped next week.Thoughts?
There is one thing, I'm hoping isn't going to be a problem, when I had it on the M25 and put me foot down the turbo kicked in ok, nice and smooth, but then as I kept accelerating the turbo seemed to stop and start about three times but the speed was still increasing at the same rate. Is this normal for classics? or is there something wrong?maybe knackered turbo?,a drop in engine pressure?(possibly to do with the custom exhaust?)
My brother has a 05 WRX and hes turbo doesn't do this.
As you can tell from all the question marks I know very little about scoobs so any help you can give would be appreciated.
I'm shore even if this is a problem I'm going to have a whole heap of fun with this car.

if you was booting it and u get a sudden jolt of slowness, hitting a wall feeling then, seem the car is running to much boost, or is spiking due to the decat...the feeling you are getting is called fuel cut and means to much boost., check to see if u have a manual boost controller or bleed valve installed... manual boost controler isnt that bad, i have one, but a bleed valve is a no no.do u have a boost gauge? at 1.1 bar urs will be faster than ur bros easily

M11 is probably more likely lol My last car was a honda prelude running about 220bhp but the Sti is still a massive step up from that so I've really been easing myself in to it.
Send over one or two pics if you like, my email account should be able to handle it fine and I can resize them before uploading them here
