Are Scoobies becoming common motors ??
Went down to Torbay for the weekend and my wrist is aching from waving to so many.
So, are the scoobies becoming more common than BMW or Audi's ?? and the joy of having one, when most don't see one and dream about having one is now all too common seeing them around.
I think the era is comming to an end of owning a common car.

IMG sold around 12500 Subarus in the UK in 2004. A large number will be Imprezas and a big percentage of those will be WRX/STis. Compared to other makes/models, the Impreza's a very small fish in the pond, sales wise.

MY06 scoobs are certainly rare, and set to remain that way unless they rapidly restyle it

I have consulted with the Rugby aficionado in our house, and she says:
"I have considered this over the last couple of days, but I feel they will give the present coach till the end of the season at least. But, however I (Manda po] would LOVE to see john Kear at Cas".

I'm happy to see lots of scooby's, they are an amazing car owned in general by really nice people. As with anything there are bad eggs, however i get nothing but respect from other scooby drivers. more than can be said for the average Evo driver, an amazing car often driven by very rude, self opinionated individuals....... There are exceptions to that as ever.......

How's this for gall? Keith Senior went out round Cas on the beer that same night.

the only reason they are becoming more common because all the rest of the performance car drivers are finally realising the reason why people buy a scooby, because they are better than the others. Come on, lets face it, an evo is just a wanna be scooby, and more people are realising it. They are easier to get parts for, and a far nicer car than a skyline etc. People are just learning, thats all!

In no way can a scoob be classed as very common.
There are more than there used to be, thats obvious as they keep selling them but they aren't being scrapped at the same rate.
They certainly aren't common though, its just they stand out. You see one and go look there's another one. All the other cars just blend into the background. Any of the German stuff, fords, vauxhalls, french crap, they are common.
Next time you are on the motorway just think of a car type and I bet you will see one very quickly, but I bet you won't see many scoobs. Or look at the cars in tescos next time. You will see countless almost identical cars but how many scoobs compared to everything else.
Minis stand out worse than anything they are literally everywhere. I know cos my 7 year old mini punches me everytime we see one. I've seen 4 minis in a row in traffic, how many times have you seen scoobs like that?(apart from at a meet).
Next time you are out and about I bet you don't see many more than 2 or 3 other scoobs on a regular basis.
How many other makes do you see though?

I see quite a few Impreza's - but I live close to a dealer so that's not surprising - but I wouldn't say they were common.

From: Going further than the station and back !!! ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
i dont think they are "common"
i drove 160 miles to bournemouth yesterday, and 160 miles back, and only saw one blue classic on the m25.
sure you'll see a few at southend on the 1st of the month, but generally i dont think there are too many about.
also i think that the classics will get rarer as the years go, as more and more chavs will wreck them and run them into the ground (toss up between an oil change and a new burberry cap), while the carefully maintained examples, will become real classics!!!
i dont think the car will appeal to a big enough audience, as its not everyone's cup of tea, but hell, i love them, and don't regret buying one.
-even if you do see some about, they will ALL be different!!!

I always see a scoob at the w/e, I live in brentwood, essex and will at least see one on my travels around on a saturday afternoon. BUT tbh during the week I hardly see any at all, I think like me most owners round my way, either dont use their scoob to go work in and use it as a w/e car.
Scoobs certainly are rare, comparing them to BMWs or AUDIs or Minis is just silly they are almost every other car round my way, a scoob is alway a sight to behold...for me anyway As for EVOs well as I said before they seem to be driven by Old men who are very grumpy, they never wave back either, god knows I've tried, I get waves off nissan 200s 300s 350zs skylines...EVOs nah no chance...

I posted this on another thread, but it seems like it's worrying people today!
I drove from Suffolk to Gatwick and back on monday, which is about 200 miles. I always keep an eye out for other Imprezas and I was about 10 miles from home on the journey back when I spotted the first one going the other way on the A12. So that's 190 miles without even seeing another Impreza, not bad for a common chav car!
