can you offer more than a possibility?

when i put my foot down the engine doesnt respond immediatley. i thought if it was sticking the revs would get stuck. if i go slow its ok, but not when i pull off........................

Are you sure it's not phsychosomatic ie it's not just in your mind?? Only other thing I can think of is problem in fuel delivery ie pump or injectors.

if it was a blocked fuel line then it wouldnt do it every single time i put my foot down, it would be more intermittant i thought.
its almost like an automatic gear box with the kick down thing

You said its fine when you go slow, but when you put your foot down lots more fuel tries to get doen the fuel lines/filter so if it was blocked it might affect this

what, as a turbo? or with the accellerator problem?

wouldnt a blocked fuel line also make the car splutter?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this throttle lag problem cos I've had the same thing that's been bugging me for ages and nothing I do seems to affect it.

i get something similar in my car. maybe as its a n oldish classic wrx... dunno. seems to take a little longer than expected to spool up... or did until i raped her with a full decat. woop woop... id love to see her on a rolling road now and see whats shes booting out. think my throttle cable is loose however, clould do with a tighten like the mrs.

changing or uprating a fuel pump... is this a big job??

andy.

My MY00 classic does the same.

When I blip the throttle there's always a slight delay (1/4 sec ish), then the revs jump up as expected. It's always done it, I thought it was normal and work around it.

Flippin' annoying/stupid though.
